The Cammino nelle Terre Mutate runs from Fabriano to L’Aquila in 14 stages and 250 km and passes through areas devastated by recent earthquakes in central Italy. The trail also crosses two of the most important and beautiful national parks in Italy: the Monti Sibillini National Park and the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park.

The Cammino Naturale dei Parchi is one of the more recent long distance trails established in central Italy. Starting in Rome, the 430 km route crosses numerous mountain ranges (including some of the wildest and lesser known areas of the peninsula) and passes through 42 small towns and villages before reaching L’Aquila, where the trail ends. The route consists of 25 stages, which can be completed on foot or by mountain bike.
