The Municipality of Accumoli participated in the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, one of the most important international tourism fairs. The main objective of their participation was to promote the areas affected by the 2016 Central Italy earthquake, highlighting the natural beauty, tranquility, and local cuisine, in response to the growing demand for slow and eco-sustainable tourism. Municipal Councilor Katia D'Apostolo represented Accumoli at the stand promoting the landscapes of the Monti della Laga, sharing the commitment of small local businesses, such as agritourisms, in the reconstruction and enhancement of the territory.

Mayor Mauro Tolomei emphasized the importance of the fair as an opportunity to introduce the Municipality of Accumoli and its businesses to a wider audience. Many of these businesses, along with those from Amatrice, participated with promotional material to attract visitors and investors. D'Apostolo stated that the experience was very positive, highlighting how discussions with international tourism operators could lead to favorable outcomes, including an increase in foreign tourist flows as early as next spring. Despite the ongoing challenges of reconstruction, participation in the WTM is seen as an important step towards the economic and tourism revival of the area.
